This Cookie Policy explains how Tappa Software Solutions uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit tappa.live. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which governs how we handle personal data more broadly.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They help the site remember information about your visit — such as your preferred language or login session — so you don’t have to re-enter it every time you return. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your device.

“Similar technologies” includes local storage, session storage, and pixel tags, which we may use for the same purposes described in this policy.

2. Cookies We Use

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. No consent is required for these cookies under applicable law.

  • Session cookie — maintains your authenticated session while you are logged into the Tappa dashboard. Expires when you close your browser or after 24 hours of inactivity.
  • CSRF token — protects form submissions from cross-site request forgery attacks. Session-scoped.
  • Preference cookie — stores basic UI preferences (e.g. collapsed sidebar state). Expires after 1 year.

2.2 Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how visitors use tappa.live, which pages are most popular, and where users drop off. Vercel Analytics is cookieless — it does not store any identifiers in your browser and does not track you across sites. It uses a hashed combination of IP address, user agent, and date to count unique visits, and that hash is rotated daily and never linked back to you.

We do not use Google Analytics or any tracker that feeds advertising networks. All analytics data is aggregated and never used to build individual profiles.

2.3 Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by us or by third-party providers we use.

  • Intercom / support chat — if we enable a live support widget, it may set a cookie to identify returning visitors and load prior conversation history.
  • Video embeds — embedded demo videos may set cookies from the video platform (e.g. YouTube or Vimeo) when you interact with them.

2.4 Marketing Cookies

We do not currently run cookie-based advertising campaigns. If this changes, we will update this policy and request your consent before setting any marketing cookies.

3. How Long Cookies Last

  • Session cookies — deleted automatically when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies — remain on your device for the period specified (typically 12 months), or until you delete them.
